My fascination with natural history began in childhood, at home in rural North Wales, with the documentaries of David Attenborough. I went on to gain a first class honours degree and PhD in Zoology, specialising in animal welfare.
Art has forever been my way of exploring and understanding the intricacies and complexities of the natural world, the bridge between my scientific and creative sides.
I work in traditional mediums with a preference for detailed and bright watercolour illustrations.
I now live in New Zealand with my husband and three children, my time split between Auckland and the Bay of Islands.
